✨
Meet Elisha,
Your Sleep Coach
Hi, I’m Elisha, a Certified Behavioral Sleep Specialist (CBSS) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). After more than 14 years working directly with children and families—as both a Behavior Consultant and Sleep Specialist—I’ve seen firsthand what exhaustion does to a family, and what happens when sleep improves. I started Gentle Sleepers because I knew there was a better way to help families than generic advice and one-size-fits-all sleep plans.
Over the past 14+ years, I’ve worked with hundreds of families just like yours, providing specialized sleep support for toddlers and children (ages 1-10) and neurodivergent families.
I help children overcome:
Frequent night wakings
Bedtime resistance or battles
Difficulty falling asleep
Early morning wake-ups
Inconsistent or unpredictable bedtimes
Needing a parent present to fall asleep
Whatever your child’s sleep looks like right now, I’ll help you understand what’s driving it—together, we’ll create a personalized sleep plan with achievable goals and gentle strategies that actually work for your unique child AND feel comfortable to you.
Credentials, experience, and how I support families.
✨
Why Families Put TheirTrust in Me
Dual-Expertise You Won’t Find Elsewhere
As one of the few professionals holding both BCBA and Certified Behavioral Sleep Specialist credentials, I bring a unique dual lens to every family I work with—combining deep knowledge of how children learn and develop with specialized expertise in pediatric sleep science.
Individualized Plans - No Cookie-Cutter Protocols
I don’t prescribe one-size-fits-all solutions. Together, we identify what “better sleep” means for YOUR family, prioritize realistic goals, and create a plan that respects your parenting style AND your child’s unique needs.
Evidence-Based Practice Grounded in Real Experience
Every strategy I recommend is supported by research in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and sleep science. But more importantly, these methods have been tested and refined through working directly with hundreds of families since 2012.
Compassionate Partnership Without Judgement
Sleep challenges don’t mean you’re failing. They mean you need support—and that’s exactly what I provide. I meet you where you are, respect your choices, and work collaboratively to create solutions that actually fit your life.
Virtual Consultations Serving Families Worldwide
Whether you’re in Vancouver, New York, London, or anywhere with internet access, I offer flexible online sleep consultations that bring expert support directly to your home.
All families start with a free consultation to ensure we’re a good fit and choose the right package.

Specialized Expertise for Neurodivergent Children
As BOTH a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) & Certified Behavioral Sleep Specialist, I understand not only sleep science, but also behavior, learning, development, and the specific needs of neurodivergent children.
This allows me to address complex challenges—like autism-related sleep issues, ADHD hyperactivity at bedtime, or anxiety-driven night wakings—that generic sleep consultants aren't equipped to handle.
Whether your child has been diagnosed or you suspect neurodivergence, I create tailored solutions for:
-
Sensory sensitivities, rigidity around routines, communication challenges, and anxiety require specialized approaches. I understand how autism affects sleep—and how to work with your child's neurology, not against it.
-
Racing thoughts, difficulty settling, medication timing, and impulse control all impact sleep. I create personalized strategies that address the unique challenges of ADHD brains.
-
Bedtime fears, separation anxiety, and nighttime worries need compassionate, gradual approaches that build security while teaching independent sleep skills.
-
Whether your child seeks or avoids sensory input, I'll help optimize their sleep environment and routine for their specific sensory profile.

“…absolutely amazing…”
"Elisha was absolutely amazing to work with. She really listened to us and created a plan that was easy to follow and worked well for our family. My daughter's bedtime battles ended within the first week, and by week 3, she was falling asleep independently for the first time. Elisha is genuinely passionate about what she does—I highly recommend her."
– Kara R., mother of a 3-year-old girl

Common Questions,
from parents like you
-
I work with toddlers, preschoolers, and children ages 1-10 years. My methods are designed for young children who have outgrown the newborn stage (not appropriate for infants under 12 months).
-
While I specialize in autism, ADHD, and developmental differences, my evidence-based strategies work beautifully for neurotypical children, as well. All children benefit from responsive, holistic approaches.
-
Some emotional response during sleep changes is normal—just like learning any new skill. However, my methods are designed to minimize distress through gradual transitions and responsive support. We'll discuss realistic expectations during consultation.
-
Most families see significant improvement within 2-3 weeks once foundations are established. Some respond in 3-7 days, others need 4-6 weeks, depending on your child's specific challenges and consistency of implementation.
-
Sleep consultation packages vary based on level of support and duration. I offer several options to fit different family needs and budgets. Click the link at the top of the page to view Sleep Packages, or schedule a free initial consultation to discuss options.
