Hi, I’m Elisha

Elisha Iggulden, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Certified Behavioral Sleep Specialist, founder of Gentle Sleepers, child sleep coaching.

I’m Elisha Iggulden, a Certified Behavioral Sleep Specialist (CBSS) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supporting toddlers and children in British Columbia and virtually worldwide for more than 14 years. I help families navigate gentle, evidence-based sleep solutions, with specialized expertise supporting children with complex or neurodivergent sleep needs.

My work blends behavioral science, child development, and compassion to create realistic sleep solutions that respect your child, your values, and your family's well-being.

You don’t need to figure this out alone.

MyStory:

From Behavior Analyst to Sleep Specialist

Elisha Iggulden, Behavior Analyst and Sleep Specialist based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

My journey into sleep consultation began unexpectedly.

In 2012, I started as a Behavior Interventionist (BI) in Vancouver, BC, supporting children with autism in homes, schools, and community settings, using strategies based in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This hands-on experience taught me the profound impact that individualized, compassionate intervention can have on a child's development and a family's quality of life.

I quickly moved into the role of Behavior Consultant, and in 2017 earned my Master of Education with a Concentration in Autism and Related Developmental Disorders from Arizona State University. In 2018, I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

I loved watching children develop new skills and families regain confidence, but I kept noticing something: sleep problems were sabotaging everything else.

Children who couldn't sleep struggled with learning, behavior, and emotional regulation. Parents were often too exhausted to implement strategies consistently. Families were barely surviving, let alone thriving.

I realized behavioral support wasn't enough—families needed sleep-specific expertise that actually worked, for both neurotypical AND neurodivergent children.

That's when I became a Certified Behavioral Sleep Specialist.

Since then, I've developed evidence-based sleep plans for hundreds of families worldwide—virtually and in-person—addressing everything from severe sleep deprivation to co-sleeping transitions, to the unique sleep challenges of autism and ADHD. I've seen families transform from desperate and defeated to rested and hopeful.

Whether addressing developmental skills, managing challenging behaviors, or creating personalized sleep plans, my approach is grounded in science, shaped by experience, and delivered with genuine care and partnership.

Every strategy I share has been tested in real homes with real families facing real challenges.

This isn't theory—it's proven practice.

Why Families Feel

Supported Here

Elisha Iggulden, BCBA and Sleep Specialist supporting families in Vancouver and virtually worldwide.

Families often come to me feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to try next. Many families have already tried multiple sleep strategies without success—especially when their child has unique developmental or behavioral needs.

Here’s what makes families confident when working with me:

My work is grounded in both clinical expertise and deep respect for each child and family. As a Certified Sleep Specialist and BCBA, I take a thoughtful, individualized approach that goes far beyond one-size-fits-all sleep advice.

I focus on understanding why sleep challenges are happening, not just how to stop them. That means carefully considering your child’s development, temperament, environment, and family dynamics—and creating a plan that is both evidence-based AND realistic for your life.

Families appreciate that my approach is:

  • Compassionate, not rigid

  • Structured, but flexible

  • Supportive of both children and parents

Most importantly, parents tell me they feel HEARD.

You won’t be handed a generic plan and left to figure it out alone. I’ll be there to guide, adjust, and support you every step of the way.

A calm, supportive call to understand your child’s sleep needs.

“Elisha transformed our family’s nights…”

"Elisha transformed our family's nights in ways we didn't think were possible. Our 3-year-old had never slept through the night, and bedtime was a two-hour ordeal every evening. Within three weeks of following Elisha's plan, our daughter was falling asleep independently in 15-20 minutes and sleeping until morning. The whole approach felt respectful and gradual—nothing harsh or stressful—and the results have lasted for over a year now."

— Connie N., parent of a neurotypical preschooler
